The Work

Creative Director  |  Food Stylist  |  Food Photographer

The Challenge:

A premium pickle line that needed to be seen as more than a condiment. For the holiday season, Majestic wanted its high-end products to belong on an upscale dining table.

The Direction:

I owned the full vision, from concept and recipes to set design, props, food styling and photography. I built the campaign around dark, moody holiday entertaining, with low light, gold accents and glowing bokeh, and placed every jar at the center of cocktails, charcuterie and plated dishes worth serving to guests.

The Result:

A holiday campaign with a fine-dining feel from the first image to the last, positioning Majestic as the jar you set out when the occasion calls for something special.

Food Brands

Celebrity Chef Lisa Brooks | Charlotte, NC

"I have had so many food shoots with Amanda. She is a talented and gifted photographer with an amazing eye. She captures images that honestly amaze me, and I often wonder how she thinks of these shots. I have recommended her to many of my students and colleagues. She truly knows her stuff, creates images that convert and is worth every single dime."

The Challenge:

A chef with a café's worth of recipes, a global theme to fit them into, and a draft manuscript holding six books' worth of ideas, with no title, focus or format set when the she began.

The Direction:

I led the book's full visual direction, from concept and shot list to set design, props, food styling and photography. Every recipe got the same rich, moody, editorial look, so the photography holds the book together while the rest of it took shape.

The Result:

A complete, cohesive image library for the entire book, ready for layout, and a visual standard the rest of the project could be built on.

Cookbooks

Chef Leslie Chartier | The Travelling Café at Home

"I've had friends with a cookbook photo shoot that had six or eight people in the room... Amanda is capable of all of that, and she accomplished all of it in every shot. Because she's doing every role, her vision stays true from the first frame to the final book."

The Vision:

What started as a plan to turn a few blog posts into a guide became Raise Your Brand, a full print magazine on building and styling your brand. I created it for a national speaking engagement at Wedding MBA and put a copy in the hands of every attendee.

What I Led:

As publisher and editor, I set the editorial direction, wrote many of the articles, and led a team through editing and design. I also created all the food styling and captured every image. The issue featured culinary and other creative professionals sharing their craft, all built around one cohesive look from cover to back page.

Why It Matters:

This is the same process I bring to every cookbook and brand campaign: a clear vision, the right team, one consistent look, and a finished collection ready for print or launch.

Food Brands

The Challenge:

A full website launch for a product that is easy to see as breakfast-only. Worley's needed to prove that their waffles belong at every meal.

The Direction:

I owned the full vision, from concept and recipes to set design, props, on-set approvals, plus all the food styling and photography. Savory or sweet, morning or night, every shot follows the same light, palette and surfaces.

The Result:

A site that reads as one brand from the first scroll and shows the waffles' versatility in a single glance.

Tailored Taste | Washington, DC

"I just booked three clients in one day! It's working, my photos created the  exact shift in my business that I wanted to happen this year."

The Challenge:

A corporate executive chef stepping out on his own to launch a personal chef business. He needed to come out strong, with images that matched his level of expertise.

The Direction:

I owned the full vision, from concept to set design, props, food styling and photography. Every plate got a dark, dramatic, restaurant-caliber treatment that put his fine-dining background front and center, all built to his visual brand standards.

The Result:

A launch-ready image library his team now uses across every platform. The first corporate client to see his new website booked a five-course dinner for 25 people on the spot.
