We met at the Charlotte Yacht Club in North Carolina for their couples photography session. I was extra excited about this shoot because Jill and Brando aren’t new to me, a few years ago they modeled for my client Amy George of By George Communications. That day, it poured rain outside a coffee shop, and in true adventurous spirit, they snuck outside with me for a few quick photos together. Their chemistry was undeniable then, and it’s even stronger now.
And wouldn’t you know it? Rain seems to follow us! This time, the skies had just cleared as we arrived, leaving behind the most beautiful light… and the kind of humidity that felt straight out of my visits with Craig in the Middle East. My camera lenses kept fogging, my gear needed constant wipes, but Jill and Brando? They were absolute troopers. Patient, graceful, and so much fun.
What I love most about sessions like this is how much they feel like a date night in Charlotte at a hidden slice of heaven on the water. A chance to step away from the everyday and just celebrate each other. Whether it’s your first year together or your 25th, these photos become more than just images.
